I ordered one yesterday and tonight I got an email confirming that it was being shipped with a USPS tracking number!

it was $14.19 with shipping included... this beats crackberry's price of $24.99 and blackberry's $29.99

I dont know how many are in stock or for how long the price will be this low... grab one while you can!!!

I'd give you a cookie if there was an icon/link to do so. Is it post count based? If so, I could spam! LOL

Now that you mentioned it... im not sure as I don't control that part of the forum... but I think you need to have 10 posts to give/steal cookies...

But anyways, i still appreciate your gratitude (cookie or not)

By the way, I know the link to give or steal a cookie is not found on your own post (since you cant give yourself cookies). but if you look at my or anyone else's avatar area, right on top of the avatar and between the cookie count and the post count, there should be 2 links like this: [give a cookie]  [steal a cookie]

I'm sure this may sound like a foolish question but what is the benefit of a charging pod?  Does it charge the phone more efficiently than plugging the phone in with the travel charger that ships with the phone?  I'm new to the BB world and I'm not really sure why one would spend extra money on a charging pod when they already provide you with a charger in the box.

Is this simply a matter of not wanting to lay the phone down on some surface while you charge it up?

Aside from that the cool factor to use your phone as a nightstand clock and the fact that you don't have to plug the phone to the micro USB, just place it in the dock and it will charge using the metal contacts on the battery door...

It is not necessary, but at no more than $15, its hard to say no to it  Tongue

Thanks for that quick reply.  I mostly just wanted to make sure it didn't offer an actual benefit to the charging process over the standard method.

Thanks again for the insight.

So I decided to try out a charging dock just to have a place to set the phone when it's charging without worrying that I may end up laying down on it or spill a drink onto it while it's plugged in.  I found one on Amazon and paid $9.10 + $2.98 shipping & handling for a total of $12.08. Not too bad for the price and I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

I just ordered my charging pod for my tour today and it should be here within the next couple of days.  I like the idea of having a place to store the phone so that it is secure.  I could very easily knock my phone over onto the floor next to my bed if I didn't have the charging pod.
