so i am on the sprint network and i know for sure that parents are able to read text message content and whereabouts of the kid online, (i've seen it first hand), and i was wondering if there was a program or feature i can download onto my blackberry, or something already on my blackberry that would actually block my location or have text messages come up blank online? please help.

The only way for someone to see your gps location, other than the police, is if they load a gps tracking program onto your phone and enable the location.  Just make sure there aren't any programs you don't recognize on your phone and you should be fine.

I agree with what Tour said...

There is a free backup app from Best Buy called M:IQ (more info here http://miqlive.com/)

This app is not just to save contacts, pictures and text messages; but it creates a log of everything you have one the phone and can be accessed online... it even lets you send a text from the computer as it was from your phone...

So.... what are you trying to hide from your parents?  Wink Grin
