OS 4.7.1.xx CONFIRMED

That's right. I guess all of us were misinformed/mistaken when we says 4.7 was touch screen only. Niagara will have OS 4.7.1.xx

I'm starting to think those rumors of the Storm getting a COMPLETELY new Touch OS at some point are true... Now I only wish I remember where I read that.. was that back on s-bb?

That's wishfull thinking I think. Why would they bother upgrading the old one if that was the plan?

Well I just found the thing I read... it was on a Crackberry post:

Yeah I read it too. I think it was a result of the rep being confused about OS 5.0 (that will NOT be touch screen specific) and wishful thinking/misunderstanding of the poster.

Too bad you never had a Voyager, we waited for 6 months for the mythical V.09 firmware update (some other numbers were passed around too) which was supposed to be everything that everyone eve wanted for the phone and then some and eventually just fixed some bugs (and added some new ones, necessitating v.11 a month or so later) and gave it a bit of a face lift. Only thing of any relevance it added was support for visual voicemail.

Actually I did have a Voyager lol... but only for about a week or so because the Dare came out and I traded it in for that. But yea, I didn't have it long enough to deal with any firmware updates.
