I'm planning on getting the Tour when it comes out but the price of the plan is pretty important.
As I'm currently on a VZW family plan with my father and brother (both have LGs), I was a little concerned that the price for having a Blackberry plan would up the bill a lot - I want to get the standard bb internet and email plan.

So I called Verizon and asked how much a plan like that would cost.  They said it was an $30 added onto the existing bill of the plan.  That, to me, seems pretty reasonable.

What I'm hoping is that that number is correct and that there will not be a different much larger price for the Tour.

Are all prices for blackberry plans for any bb phone standard on verizon?

Knowing that would ease my very anxious mind.

Thanks.

The Verizon Customer Service Rep is right...it will only be an added $30 to your existing plan. Having a BlackBerry on a Verizon account requires a BlackBerry Plan to go along with it. Your price will be just an added $30. Now, I'm sure you've already noticed the other Plan priced at $45 (BlackBerry Solution Unlimited Data Usage,) that is for business/corporate servers whereas the Email and Web for BlackBerry is for personal use.

Well Dee, it would depend on how many minutes you're looking for on your shared plan. Are you a new customer to Verizon or are you an existing customer? If you're new, I'd say go with the 700 Minute Select Family SharePlan for $99.99. Still, that would depend on how many minutes you're wanting. The Select plans come with Unlimited texting, picture messaging, and instant messaging. Next, you'll want the Email and Web for BlackBerry on each phone line which is $29.99. That will be all the web you'll need, no worries about going over, unless you tether. (be sure to read this http://www.blackberry-tour.com/index.php?topic=69.0)

SO, that is what I would recommend, but it does depend on how many shared minutes you want; 700 minutes is not the only plan, but for me it would be enough for 2 lines. Your monthly bill would come out to roughly $175.00 with all of the above plus phone insurance and taxes.

Hope that helped out a bit.  Cheesy
